The Mexican chorizo is quite different from the Spanish one. Where Spanish chorizo is dried and cured and can be eaten as it is, the Mexican chorizo sausage is a spicy ground meat usually sold raw and has to be cooked before it can be eaten. For this reason it is very hard to find in the UK.
This blend recreates the flavours of the Mexican chorizo - it can be added to minced pork or beef, along with a bit of cider vinegar to make your own chorizo - a great filler for Tacos, or served with scrambled eggs. It is very versatile - and is great for creating healthy, tasty, low fat meat, veggie or vegan sausages with all the flavour and none of the guilt!
